I recommend an engagement session to every couple I work with, and it has very little to do with save-the-date cards.
It is a rehearsal — for all of us. You learn what it feels like to be photographed together, I learn how you interact, and by the time your wedding arrives, the camera has long since disappeared.
It is also simply a beautiful excuse to document this season of your life: newly engaged, giddy, and looking forward to everything ahead. Years from now, those images will mean just as much as the wedding ones.
